—It begins at the height of summer—
Residential areas, farmland, mountains in the distance. It’s hard to call it a remote area, but it’s definitely not a city. It’s an ordinary rural town.
The protagonist returns there in the height of summer and takes a job as a live-in temporary janitor at his former alma mater, a comprehensive school, during the summer vacation.
There, he finds his niece, Takanashi Otoha, who moved there after her parents divorced, and her older childhood friend, Akatsuki Rino. Otoha is attending extra lessons for transfer students, and Rino is attending school during the summer vacation for club activities.
They used to be familiar faces who used to play together as babysitters.
When the three of them reunite, their relationship has not remained the same, but has subtly changed.
Is it because they have simply grown up, or…?
Through a sudden turn of events, the protagonist begins to develop a special relationship with both Otsuwa and Rino.
